Job Summary:
This position is responsible for shipping and delivery of prescription drugs to Wedgewood Pharmacy customers.
Essential Functions:
- Position is responsible for shipping and delivery of prescription drugs to customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies package contents to ensure that the prescription name and address match the receipt and the outside label, then packaging those items in the appropriate shipping container.
- Tracks missing or lost shipments
- Stocks and restocks the daily essential in the shipping department.
- Maintains a clean atmosphere and work area
- Ensures adequate inventory levels, ordering of supplies if needed (may include but not limited to packing, breakroom, janitorial and office supplies).
- Fills ice chest with cold packs
- Cleaning, emptying trash cans in shipping department
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management, pharmacist or shift leader.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must pay close attention to detail.
- Must possess the ability to take initiative and problem solve.
- Must possess the ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner.
- Must possess the ability to meet challenges resourcefully.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the day.
- Position requires good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Credentials:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Knowledge of basic shipping practices
