Job Summary:
In this role, the Dispensing Associate will be assigned to prep orders, pick orders, pack, ship and/or sort outbound orders based on the needs of the warehouse operations. The Dispensing Associate will be cross-trained and capable of performing all tasks in an accurate and timely manner. These roles are assigned based on departmental need, order volume, training level and overall staffing. Goal is to deliver a satisfying customer experience utilizing the warehouse tools and processes in place.
Essential Functions:
- Receive batch tickets and retrieve medication using an alphanumeric system
- Pick and process sales orders
- Maintain systems for dispensing & inventory control
- Ensure accuracy in scanning medications into our system
- Carefully and precisely pack medications in a detail-oriented manner
- Pack medicine into boxes ensuring the product is secure by using paper or bubble wrap
- Create, print and affix address labels on packages
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of computers and related software including spreadsheets, word processing, email, databases, and Windows operating systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in an organized fashion.
- Knowledge of prescription assembly and inventory control processes.
- Ability and dexterity to pick items from a shelf.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other employees.
- Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
- Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Extended time spent walking, bending, lifting and moving items
- Must be able to use ladders and work above floor level
- Will be working with and around a variety of chemicals (PPE will be provided)
Required Education and/or Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Basic math & verbal skills.
- Registered with the state of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee
