Job Summary:
In this role, you will collaborate to plan, develop, coordinate, and review project civil design work. You will produce drawings, facilitate discussions, communicate complex technical issues, and prepare civil design estimates and work plan. Your recommendations will ensure designs and work plans are in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, regulations, and standards.

Major Responsibilities:
Leads the work of civil designers and drafters for a project to include the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings
Develops designs for complete and complex civil engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage and road design with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed
Assists in constructing detailed scale models
Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations
Monitors and checks work for compliance with approved civil design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy
Participates in constructability reviews
Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort
Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents
Reviews civil design scope changes, as required, for project management
Ensures civil systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Experienced in 3D modelling of Site earthworks, drainage, roads, etc.
Expert in use of Civil modelling software such as Civil3D and/or OpenRoads Designer
Experience with preparing Quantity takeoffs of Civil materials
